Bauma 2019 is being hailed as our most successful international show to date after it generated worldwide interest and strong business leads for our top-class equipment.
Representatives from across the globe and 41 countries made for the sustainability-themed stand at the week-long event in Munich which saw three new products exhibited for the first time in mainland Europe.
Our SMC TL60 Solar Trolley was a star attraction. Battery powered with solar and plug-in charging capabilities, it is an energy efficient, compact and easily deployable unit that produces zero noise and zero emissions. The launch of the SMC TL90 Evolve – the next generation SMC TL90 lighting tower – created a buzz with its new ergonomic design, more compact appearance and three lamp head options – 4 x 320W, 6 x 320W or Anti-Glare 1200W HALO
The SMC SL80 Pallet, a super silent, static eight-metre mast lighting tower, also attracted interest. Fitted with the Halo, it delivers a bright, anti-glare even spread of light from four 300W high power LED modules.
Bauma saw a record attendance of over 620,000 visitors, with around 3,500 exhibitors from 63 countries. For a leading British equipment manufacturer, which distributes to 25 countries worldwide, the event plays a vital role in reaching key players and markets.
Phil Winnington, our International Business Director, said: “It was our best BAUMA ever as we showcased our innovative new products and global ambitions. We had a big increase in footfall from visitors with a genuine interest in our offer. We are confident it will lead to significant orders.
“We had doubled the size of our stand and invested time in our planning and pre-show connections to make the most of this opportunity. Our eye-catching green shirts and solar panels certainly made an impact too. Solar was definitely a lure on the stand.
“There was a mood of optimism and positivity about the show which may reflect a brighter global marketplace in construction, mining, oil and gas and the rental industry.”
During the show Phil was invited to speak about what to expect from Bauma to British company representatives at the residence of British Consul-General Simon Kendall in Munich.
In addition to SMC, trusted brands ArcGen and Hilta were also shown on our stand in the CEA UK Pavilion at Bauma.
We will be back on the international stage when it shows at HIRE19 in Melbourne on 22-23 May.
