We operate out of bases in the West Midlands, Lincolnshire and Scotland supplying lighting towers, generators, welder generators, pumps and power washers to a range of industries from petro-chemical to quarrying and mining. ArcGen was founded, quickly developing an enviable reputation for providing high quality welder generators with a dedicated sales and aftersales service.
ArcGen was acquired by Morris & Company, a 5th generation British family business with a well-established industrial and engineering heritage.
The Morris family acquired Hilta Plant, a leading manufacturer of pumps and power washers with a heritage in excess of 60 years and in March 2008 ArcGen Hilta was launched.
Further expansion saw Morris acquire leading lighting tower manufacturer; SMC Light & Power based in Lincolnshire.
Previously known as ArcGen Hilta we changed our name to Morris Site Machinery to Power us forward as a world class business with engineering heritage and a dynamic new product design and development team.
In recent years we were voted Best Place to Work in the construction industry, we continue to take pride in the development of our team which is central to our business ethos.
